Well we were up very, very early and were taking the tent down at 5.15am , as the sun shone. We rode the cycle track up to the port and finally got on board with the trucks in the bowels of the ship.
When we got to Ireland , due to poor signage, we ended up having a 4 miles “detour”. It was quiet nice along the river but then headed for the town centre.
It was a bit of a problem for me , with so many people and various perfumes etc. In the tourist information, we were advised to take a train to Lurgan , so that’s just what we did at a cost of £13.60 for the two of us.
We are now very well fed , watered and showered at DH’s cousin. He has offered to take us up to Portrush tomorrow, so we are booked onto a site.
The plan is to cycle back down using one or two of the cycle routes. The weather forecast isn’t too great but we will cope. Today has been a good rest day as we only cycled about 10 miles.
